Besides the stunning 4K image, the dual pixel auto focus is hands down the best thing to come along since the Big Mac! I LOVE this camera!

This has all the great features of the 1DX Mark II, but without the heavy price tag. The draw back to this camera is that it has a 1.7 crop factor. In our case, I use it as a third camera for ceremonies when I'm looking for that extra zoom without having to use a giant lens. To give you an idea of what the crop does, you basically get a field of view similar to what a full-frame camera would get from a 119-340mm lens, but the lens is still a 70-200mm. And this is with ZERO light loss! Amazing! If you're going to use this as a primary camera, you will definitely have to invest in some wide lenses. Even if you filmed with a Canon 16-35mm lens, with this camera, it would be like shooting with a 27-59mm lens (which might be to wide for certain shots. Everything else on this camera is amazing (except the built in audio of course- which is poor on every DSLR camera).

My favorite camera for filming documentaries, corporate work and music videos. Stunning 4K image with incredible dynamic range and Canon's dual pixel auto focus. I prefer to rent this camera from lenspro2go.com

A monopod can give you more flexibility than a tripod because you can quickly move from one spot to another. It's obviously not as steady as a tripod, but it can help you get steady footage with unstabilized lenses and cameras.

Sound and Microphones

These are my favorite devices for capturing great sound.

My favorite audio field recorder of all time! I've had this recorder for years and I've seen several professional sound technicians using this recorder. It has amazing preamps and the sound is always super clean. I've never had any issues with this recorder.

Lights

These are my favorite lights! Some are for corporate and others for weddings. Check out the workshop, so you can see how I use these bad boys!

This light is off the chain good. It has amazing color rendition. Daylight or Tungsten with the ability to dial in the kelvin temperature. It's LED, so it runs cool. Has a really decent throwing distance with the ability to switch from spot to flood. This unit can be plugged in anywhere in the world with no issues (or it can be battery powered). Did I mention you can control this light with your iPhone? I love this light! Email ray@rayroman.com for discount codes.
